Posture Plus Classes

Posture Plus classes are a blend of Posture awareness training, coordination and strength training using a unique progressional combination of training techniques*. The Posture Centre has been conducting and developing the program since 2001.                                                                                 *including, yet not limited to corrective exercises, stretch therapy & pilates method.

Why?

Through observing Personal Training clients Donna realised most people are not functionally ready to do regular training (like going to the gym or to participate in sports). Seeing the potential for physical damage (short and long term) Donna disolved her Personal Training business into the Posture Plus program. Because the Pilates Method assumes a high level of flexibility this was not the answer. So combining the (Posture & Flexibility) stretch therapy method with postural and movement repatterning exercises from The Posture Centre treatment clinic, Donna devised the Posture Plus program.

Posture Essentials workshop & lead-in program

Term Four will see the introduction of a 2hr Posture Essentials workshop. For only $100 you will gain insight as to what ideal posture is; where your body needs attention and the answers to how about correcting what we find.

The Posture Centre places the Posture Plus program as "The Initial Step", which means Posture Plus is the initial necessary step after Rehab and before sport & training, or is the initial step to prepare you for training regularly if you have not been a regular participant of any activitiy. The Posture Plus program highlights you what you need to work on, and show you how to achieve it.

Balancing your body between strength and flexibility to have ideal posture is the foundation of Posture Plus.

You will be re-connected to your body and muscles you thought you had lost, and find muscles you had no idea existed- let alone be able to have control over.

Combining the 8 principals of Pilates and the golden rules of Posture & Flexibility- you gain not only the best body workout, but a total mind shift towards daily activities and body re-connection.
